About This Game Solstice is a very retro wargame, heavily inspired by the classic games Lords of Midnight, Doomdarks Revenge and Sorderon's Shadow. Solstice is not a remake of any of these games but takes its lead from these games to develop a new gaming challenge for lovers of turn-based, menu driven strategy. Displayed using hand-drawn artwork, and using a pseudo-3D technique, often referred to as landscaping, which echoes the games of the time.Set in the mythical land of Dourfrost, a land, trapped in an eternal winter, a land of fantastic beasts, magic and war, Explore and battle across an open world, populated with 11 different mythical races (at launch), and well over a hundred and twenty characters, each with his or her likes, dislikes, needs, aims, desires and loyalties that shape the game and conflicts to come.On release, Solstice will feature one very challenging, turn-based scenario, offering many hours of game-play.The Rise of the Demon King. While the lords and ladies of Dourfrost have squabbled over petty disputes and brokered and broken pacts and alliances, a dark power has been rising in the south. A power that will shake the entire land and threatens to overwhelm all that stands before it, and enslave everyone in its path.Sator Grimward, a dark sorcerer, once thought long defeated, has risen again and united the tribes of the Ice Guard. Can Calith, king of the free folk muster the lords and ladies of Dourfrost, and overcome old bitterness, to bring a force of Freefolk, Dwarfs, Fey, Sidhe, Giants, and 6 other races together to defeat the rising storm.JimJams games are a small, indie development team with a love for the retro games of the '80s and '90s. We only develop games that embrace that era, aiming to provide true classicly styled gaming, with a massive retro feel, maybe with a slight hint of what these games would have been with a little more processing power. We don't aim to develop AAA games, but simply to bring our passion for a time gone by to those who love truly classic themed and inspired games. If this is a genre and era that you love, then our games are for you. 1075eedd30 Title: SolsticeGenre: Adventure, Indie, Strategy, Early AccessDeveloper:JimJams GamesPublisher:JimJams GamesRelease Date: May 2019 Solstice Free Download Crack With Full Game solstice massage. summer solstice cards free. solstice eng deu. solstice in a sentence. solstice pod license not found. solstice 2019 dates. winter solstice full moon images. solstice car. solstice 2007. solstice parade 2019. pontiac solstice pcv. solstice equinox. summer solstice free food. solstice admin password. winter solstice full moon ritual. solstice v8. solstice font free download. solstice 4k. solstice utah. solstice juice. solstice 1 parking. solstice dates. solstice 4-person dinghy. solstice version. solstice canyon hike. celebrity solstice free dining. winter solstice in hindi wiki. 90 solstice way erie co. pontiac solstice versiones. little bear winter solstice full episode. solstice 8' x 5' dock. winter solstice font free download. solstice chronicles mia cheat engine. solstice admin password. solstice quilt pattern by kate spain. solstice full moon 2018. solstice cyberjaya full address. the red solstice free steam key. celebrity solstice exercise room. solstice pc review. solstice 100. solstice pontiac. solstice card free. solstice halcyon rar. solstice 701. solstice 5th wheel. solstice dates. solstice ka hindi meaning. solstice band. solstice in hindi. solstice health. 08 solstice. solstice movie torrent. solstice coupe. summer solstice in hindi. solstice 800 dental plan reviews. summer solstice pics free. free winter solstice ecards. solstice eng sv. winter solstice download. the red solstice steam key global. solstice hop & vine fest. solstice english term. nike free solstice womens. solstice vs equinox. solstice canyon malibu. solstice hindi meaning. solstice 70 el monte. winter solstice hindi. oneshot solstice free download. solstice for mac. solstice new dark age download. solstice wikipedia english. solstice festival. solstice movie torrent. red solstice pc. solstice in full moon. 2007 pontiac solstice coil pack. solstice 090. solstice icon pack apk. mersive solstice mac. solstice wiki. solstice apartment homes. solstice airplay password. solstice n41. spring solstice full moon. free solstice pics. solstice tea traders. solstice 9370. smite solstice hel free. solstice in hindi translation. solstice simple english. solstice cyberjaya full address. solstice 1992 rar. solstice 2019 australia. solstice silent install. soulstice uci Solstice is a visual novel with an engaging and dark storyline coupled with beautiful aesthetics. As well this, the story is told from two different protagonists' point of views which gives the story more than one interesting perspective. Despite the fact that I thoroughly enjoyed this visual novel, I would have liked the ability to explore a wider variety of different relationship options (more romantic, friendly and independent) with different characters. Overall, I would definitely recommend this visual novel - especially if you have played Cinders.. Pros:-You can fast forward through previously played scenes.-The art is beautiful.-Diverse characters.Cons:-I did not care for any of the characters.-The dialogues are very long and tiresome. I actually started falling asleep while playing once.-The story is not compelling.-Not as interesting as Cinders, another game by these devs.. The characters and dialogue were awkward. Thus the story wasn't very gripping. The music didn't really help the situation either. The universe was really cool though and it was kinda long so I got a lot of mediocre entertainment... Overall just glad I didn't pay full price.. The good: Visually gorgeous, mystery-oriented visual novel with an interestingly nonstandard structure (i.e. two protagonists). Plenty of character racial diversity, and a queer relationship. The bad: Pacing felt slow for much of the game (though it was JUST RIGHT at the end, which is... rare to see). Less replay value than I'd hoped for due to placement of key, ending-determining choices. If you played and enjoyed Cinders, you should absolutely play Solstice. If you like visual novels or other story-based games in general, you should probably play Solstice. Don't expect a dating sim, however, because this isn't one. Both main characters can become romantically involved with an NPC, but there is only one option for each of them. In general I enjoyed the themes and the characters, and I think that the dual-protagonist structure really added to things in that you get to choose how much those two protagonists do or don't cooperate with one another. The writing felt slow to me through much of the game, though, so those apt to get impatient reading through dialogue might have issues (I have a great deal of patience). That said, I think they nailed the pacing at the ending, which is, of course, very important. Aside from the pacing, the only major negative aspect of this game for me was the lack of replay value. Its endings are structured like the ones in Cinders - there are a few major endings and several variations on most of them. However, unlike in Cinders, the variables determining which of the major outcomes you get are largely NOT woven through the whole storyline, and that's a major weakness, as far as I'm concerned. What causes you to get one major outcome or another comes down to only a very few major choices, and as those choices are mostly concentrated near the very end of the game, I just reloaded one of my late saves to look at multiple endings and felt no real desire to replay the game in full. Given this, I'm really glad I got the game on sale. They did a fantastic job with the storyline, for the most part, if you ignore replay value, but I wouldn't have wanted to spend $20 on a game I wasn't going to play more than 3-4 hours total.. The game is good.I usually start being sceptic when I see great graphics on a visual novel.I mean, if you got no story, you might try to lure people with great artwork and music. And in the end the visual nove experience becomes a great disappoinment.Because the content is not good. Not here though. This is an exceptional game, made with a lot of devotion and love.As a gamer I can tell.As a developer I can tell too.The game visual art is unique and superb and it collaborates in harmony with particles used. I really feel the struggle not to overdo it there. The music is simple as it should be. It is magnificent and fits well with the whole artwork, helping you dive in the game world, like the water helps you slide on a waterslide. The sound fx are great too. I just want to mention some volume differences that might seem odd to some people, specifically barking dogs could be a little less loud than they are, but that was not a critical mistake or something.I am currently in Chapter 2, making decisions all the time and taking a branch of the story. Almost all the characters are well thought and placed to the story, I feel that the two protagonists are forced by fate to meet each other, but on the other hand it is GREAT novelty and cool idea to see things by two people than one.I really have enjoed the game so far and I believe that it deserves your attention.I find the price of 18 Euro a little odd for a visual novel, but thinking of the business, the people involved and the end result, it seems like a decent price. If you are a fan of visual novels and play the game through the many branches, I believe it will worth the price and for sure, even playing it once, it seems a great experience.I will update the review after finishing it.. His is hands down one of my favourite visual novels. The world building is amazing, the characters all have depth of both personality and personal history and their motivations generally make sense and are believable. The art work, which drew me in the most, is absolutely breathtaking, and the character designs are varied and beautiful. There's a nice mix of races which you don't always see and some variaton of body types, making it feel more real. The storyline is really compelling and it was an utter joy to go through multiple times to get all the endings and see the different dynamics you could invoke between characters. This piece has a real lasting effect on me as a story, honestly I wish it were a book I could buy too!Definitely recommend if you like beautiful art, realistic characters and a compelling story. :3. Really well written, beautiful (and addicting) game :). I don't really know how I got this...maybe it was part of a bundle or something. Anyway, I spent about 10 minutes skipping dialogue before I realized that the "game" is literally nothing but dialogue. If you like interactive novels, you might enjoy this. If you want a puzzle or action, though, this is not your title.*EDIT*After the comments received on this review, I think it's important to note that I love to read, but having to click after every line or two is annoying and frustrating. This interactive novel plays out like dialogue in a regular game, leading one to expect something more. It's unfortunate that this was bundled as it was (perhaps Humble Bundle?) because I would not normally have purchased this.Still, I gave it a second chance after the comments, and I will say that the animations are pretty enough and the music is nice, but it's misleading to describe this as a game (as this interactive novel does in its title menu). While I said "skipping" before, I think skimming would be more accurate. The text moves rather slowly by default, so I recommend setting it to fast or instant speed. If you read faster than the text appears, it's VERY easy to accidentally skip dialogue - you can go back and re-read it easily with arrow keys or the scroll wheel.Again, if interactive novels are your thing, there's a chance you might enjoy it...but I don't recommend spending $20 for this title. Unless you're extremely eager for a new interactive novel, wait until it shows up in another bundle, or try out the wealth of free content out there.. Shoehorned sexytime infront of a madman's ghost: Solstice is a strange little title. It boasts a pretty narrative set in an established world, well-sculpted dialogue and fitting music. Some of the character interactions are a bit strange (they animated a couple of kiss scenes, for instance, which feel like they're thrust together with the same casual comfort as the others gesticulate), and I feel that some of the scenes could be more to the point. Has most of the technical systems I'd expect in a modern VN, although it's a bit limited on save spaces and I think the skip feature a bit too minimal - if you're looking for completion% you'll be a bit let down. The autoplay is nice and most of the time you can view previous dialogue (although there are some unwarranted cut-offs around dramatic action). The subtle "variants" on the endings as a mark of accomplishment aren't really my thing; a good ending disrupted by an extremely early dialogue choice seems unkind to the player. Further, a lot of the recycled dialogue in these slight variations is considered "new" to the player, and hence unskippable, making the gameplay akin to Clicker Heroes. There's something silly about imposing an emotional compass as visual novel choices: direct, consequence-orientated actions described as such always seems the most appropriate to me. I think Solstice's conversational prompts are a tad too cryptic in the context of 'absolute' completion. For a single playthrough however, they offer enough for you to feel mildly involved in the storyline. I'm having enough fun that I'd consider recommending it as a good example of the Western VN - and depending on what themes you're after, this might do a uniquely good job - but if I had to choose something to represent that geographical subgenre it'd sooner be VA-11 Hall-A or KS.
